Potential Complications of Thighplasty

Thighplasty procedures carry a higher risk of both minor and major wound complications than other procedures. This may be related to a number of factors including the proximity of the incisions to the groin and buttock areas, the constant moisture of this region, and the gravitational force on the incisions, e.g. from the activities of daily living, such as walking, as well as other more strenuous activities that put tension on the incisions.
